General Terms & Conditions

  1. A minimum hire value of $500 including GST is required for all DIY orders. Minimum hire value of $300 including GST required for all other orders (not including delivery fee). Quotes valid for 14 days only.
  2. 50% deposit required to confirm booking (excluding bond) must be paid within 14 days of invoice date. Cancellations by client will forfeit all deposits paid. Full refund will be paid to client if we cancel the order due to unforeseen circumstances.
  3. Additional $100-$500 refundable bond (**Bond for DIY hire will be decided upon the items ordered) must also be paid with all hire. All orders over $300 or long distance hire (60km+) will incur $200 bond.
  4. Balance payment should be made via EFT (bank transfer) or cash prior to hire. (minimum 14 days prior to event date).
  5. A valid drivers license with current address must be presented upon picking up DIY hire items. DIY hire form must be completed before picking up items. ( Items can be picked up after 3pm the day before for the event and have to return before 12pm the day after)
  6. Customer must advise alternative location in case of wet weather for all outdoor setups. Minimum 24hr notice must be given.
  7. We reserve the right to cancel backdrop installations if we deem it unsafe due to weather or unsuitable venue.
  8. Amethyst WED shall not be liable for any license or parking fees required for venue/outdoor setups. All fees incurred must be paid by customer.
  9. All equipment from DIY hire must be returned in its original condition & packaging. Glassware must be returned cleaned & dry. Wax must be cleaned off. Failure to do so will incur loss of bond. Extra charges may apply if bond amount is not sufficient to cover replacement or repair cost. Trailers not permitted for transporting items.
  10. All items must be returned by due date as specified on invoice unless prior arrangements have been made with Amethyst WED.
  11. Late return fee will be deducted from bond ($50 or 20% of hire order charged per day – whichever is greater).
  12. Full replacement cost must be paid by customer if any storage boxes or containers provided get damaged during hire period.
  13. Amethyst WED shall not be liable for any loss or damages arising out of the overloading, exceeding rated capacity, misuse, or abuse of the equipment by the customer.
  14. Customer must pay all fees relating to debt recovery if damaged or lost items are not paid for within 14 days of invoice being issued.
  15. Showroom booking will incur $50 fee which will be deducted from invoice, given client makes booking of hire items.
  16. By confirming a quote via email, signature or deposit payment, the Customer acknowledges & agrees to these terms & conditions.
  17. If hiring items for ceremony only, a ceremony fee will be applied.

Coupon Code Terms and Conditions:

  • Discount Details:
    • The coupon code is valid for a 25% discount on eligible hire items between the dates of 21/01/24 – 21/03/24.
    • The coupon code is valid for a 20% discount on eligible hire items between the dates of 22/03/24 – 21/04/24.
    • The coupon code is valid for a 10% discount on eligible hire items between the dates of 22/04/24 – 21/06/24.
    • The dates in which the discount is applicable are valid for the first deposit payment after using the discount code at checkout. This means, once the quotation is received by the customer, to receive the discounted amount in the dates above, the customer must pay the 50% non refundable deposit (excluding bond) within the specified dates. If the first deposit is not paid within the dates specified above, the specified discount is not applicable.
  • Minimum Spend Requirement:
    • To be eligible for the discount, a minimum spend of $500 on hire items is required.
  • Eligible Products:
    • The coupon code is valid for hire items only and does not cover delivery fees, staff expenses or any other additional fees required.
  • Coupon Code Usage:
    • The coupon code is applicable to single transactions only (one use per person/event). If you are hiring for both ceremony and reception decor for the same day, the coupon code can be applied to both the ceremony and reception decor items. 
  • Redemption Method:
    • To redeem the discount, customers must enter the provided coupon code at the checkout on our website.
  • Combining Offers:
    • The coupon code cannot be combined with other promotions, discounts, or special offers.
  • Refunds and Adjustments:
    • The initial deposit payment of 50% of order total excluding bond amount is non-refundable.
    • Once full payment is made, cancellations made by the client will forfeit all payments made, excluding bond. 
    • Refunds for cancellations due to unforeseeable events will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Customers may be eligible for a partial refund (if invoice has been paid in full), depending on the specific circumstances. 
    • If a customer requests a refund for an order where the coupon code was applied, the refund will be processed based on the actual amount paid with the applied discount.
    • Orders made using coupons cannot be refunded as store credit in the case of cancellations.
  • Coupon Abuse:
    • Any abuse of the coupon code, including but not limited to unauthorized use or attempts to exploit the promotion, may result in the voiding of the discount and cancellation of the order.
  • Modifications and Termination:
    • The company reserves the right to modify or terminate the coupon code promotion at any time without prior notice.
